The announcement has come as a relief to the other major mobile operators in a country like Idea and Airtel, who have welcomed the move of Mr. Ambani.

The JIO Cellular Services which was launched in the month of September 2017 had captivated the mobile users across the country and everybody started enrolling for the same. This resulted in the businesses of the other operators getting affected. However, this move also resulted into the curbing the competition down and many mobile operators have come down with their tariff plans giving the advantage to the consumers. Although, none of the competitors were happy about the move that Mr. Ambani made but had left with no options since it was pushed into the market as an introductory offer.
