THE DEATH OF AN IRB COP KISHOR SHIRODKAR WAS NEVER LOOKED LIKE A SUICIDE, AND GOA PRISM HAD BROUGHT OUT THE REPORT IN THIS REGARDS EARLIER, BUT THE COPS AND GMC DOCTORS CERTIFIED IT AS A SUICIDE CASE. NO ONE KNOWS WHY!!! BUT THEN ONE FINE DAY COPS DECIDED TO REGISTER THE CASE AS MURDER, HOW?? TAKE A LOOK AT THIS REPORT…

On the morning of 20th July 2017, a body of IRB Police Constable Kishor Shirodkar was found lying upside down, in mysterious circumstances, inside the compound of an Open School in Porvorim. Prima facie it appeared as an existence of a foul play, the shirt of the deceased was partially torn and a plastic bag was stuffed in his mouth besides the existence of several injury marks on his face.

The cops announced it as Prima Facie Suicide, and the post mortem report, which was conducted in hurry also supported the statement of the cops calling it died due to asphyxia caused due to hanging, and the injury marks were tagged as ant bites. There was a huge protest on the social media against the reports of the cops and GMC doctors.

But the reports did not change, and the body of deceased was handed over to his relatives for the final rites. The only surprising thing that came out here is, in normal circumstances when the cops, as well as the GMC, takes not less than two to three days to announce the cause of the death in such cases, in this case, it was been completely opposite. It looked like the cops and doctors were in hurry to announce the report into the media.

THE BIKE OF DECEASED WAS FOUND IN THE COMPOUND AND SMALL STRING WAS SPOTTED HANGING FROM FACADE OF A OPEN SCHOOL.

But the Kishor’s relatives along with the local MLA Mr. Sopte decided to protest against the decision of cop and tell the government to intervene into this matter to have the transparent investigation. Accordingly, as assured by Mr. Sopte before the media, the issue was raised in the Goa Assembly at zero hours, and Mr. Parrikar ordered the police to do a thorough investigation of this case as murder and not suicide.

More than a week passed before the mysterious death of Kishor Shirodkar, and despite filing the case as Murder, the police has not reached anywhere close to being cracked. The sources have revealed that, Though a case of murder has been registered after preliminary investigations, no leads of possible suspects have been found yet.

The sources in the police have informed that they have done the thorough swill of victim’s phone records and messaging app but did not find anything suspicious in it. The victim Shirodkar was also found to have not been drunk at the time of his death, and no major injuries on the body existed, sources said. But police have failed to find out the mystery behind the empty beer bottles and matchbox found at the crime spot.

Meanwhile, another angle of a huge loan taken by the victim is being investigated by the police at the moment. According to the police sources, the victim Shirodkar had taken the personal loan of Rs. 27 lakhs from the co-operative banks and the police does not have clues as where did he spend such huge amount. “The investigators are baffled as to where Shirodkar could have spent such a huge amount as there seems to be no assets worth that money,” said sources.

The police are presently fumbling all the angles as possibly connected with the death of an IRB cop Kishor Shirodkar, said the sources. Besides establishing the link between the loan taken by Shirodkar and his death, the police is also investigating the angle of souring ties between the victim and his relatives.

Meanwhile, according to the sources, the investigation officer, PI Paresh Naik, attached to the Porvorim police station said that they have written to the financial institutions from where the Shirodkar has availed the loans asking them to furnish the details asap, and besides this the police have also summoned two suspects that victim’s wife had raised her suspicion “Although we have summoned two people suspected by the Shirodkar’s family we have not yet formally arrested them as the enquiry is in preliminary stage,” said PI Paresh Naik.

People were always against the theory of suicide in this case right from the beginning, and now as the direction of investigation has come into the right path, there is a strong possibility that the culprits behind this murder will get caught soon. What is your opinion on this serious issue?
