The alarm has been raised by the AAP in the public interest and demanded the criminal investigation into this matter. “Diesel is being supplied illegally to the offshore casino vessels and this is causing a huge loss to the state exchequer. The extent of this loss must be revealed,” AAP general secretary Prakash Naik alleged, and added that such activities cannot happen without the knowledge of the government.

Naik demanded the Goa police should take the action against the casino owners since they are the main culprits in this scam. The casinos are the end buyers and users of the diesel, claimed the sources. “The Bharatiya Janta Party government should come clean and transfer the probe to the CBI so that all the beneficiaries are exposed,” Naik demanded.

These allegations have come up in the backdrop of the recent raid of Goa police on Diesel tankers supplying 6000 liters of diesel to the offshore casino. Mr. Naik criticized the ruling government for backing out on their earlier promise of removing the casinos from river Mandovi. According to the sources, police seized the tanker containing the diesel worth Rs. 3 Lakh claimed the report.

It looks like the AAP is taking up the issues very aggressively against the ruling government in the state of Goa and the issue of Casino is one of the most controversial issues that AAP is tackling presently.
