The prestigious SCOPE Award for Excellence in Management was conferred to GSL on 11 April 2016. RAdm. Shekhar Mital, CMD, GSL received the SCOPE Trophy and Citation Plaque from Hon’ble President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee in an impressive ceremony at Delhi. Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Shri Anant Geete was also present during the function.

The shipyard has distinguished itself by timely delivery of ‘Quality’ Ships at ‘Fixed’ cost. Further, it will be recalled that the Shipyard was recently conferred with Raksha Mantri’s Award for R&D on 27 Jan 2016, for its excellent R&D capabilities.
