Goa bags another award for the ‘Best Decorated Stall’ at the India International Travel Mart, IITM- Kochi, held from January 16-18, 2015.Goa was among the 10 States who participated in the travel mart showcasing the State’s rich and diverse art and cultural heritage.The award was presented to the Goa delegation by Shri Surjit Basu – Joint Secretary Tourism, Govt. of West Bengal.
The Goa delegation comprised of Ms Fernanda Vales – Assistant Tourist Officer, Dept of Tourism, , Shri Yogesh Naik – Manager (Marketing) GTDC and Ms Isabelinda Vaz – Information Assistant.
Goa’s stall at IITM-Kochi received an overwhelming response and a large number of travel and tour agencies participated in the B2B sessions. A Goa evening was also organized at Hotel Grande- Kochi where Goa put up a spectacular show of Goan folklore and cultural performances.
This is the second award received by Goa Tourism in the very first month of the new year 2015.
