The Carnival in Goa will be celebrated this year between February 6th and 9th 2016. This year IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) in association with GTDC has arranged the special charter coach for the Carnival 2016 to Goa.
According to the information made available by PTI news agency, The IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) in association with GTDC (Goa Tourism Development Corp.) has made provision for of the special charter coach to Goa from Mumbai on 5th February 2016 to enable the Mumbaikars to attend the Carnival celebration in Goa which is scheduled to be celebrated from 6 to 9 February 2016.
The Carnival celebration will begin on 6th of February in the capital city of Panaji followed by the other major towns in Goa. Those who avail this package will get an opportunity to enjoy the four days fun fiesta which will include watching the float parade in the capital city of Goa on Saturday, February 6, 2016.
According to the sources, this package has been labeled as Goa Carnival Package which will include 6 days and 5 nights out of which the actual duration will be 4 days and 3 nights of accommodation and sightseeing. The special charter coach will leave Mumbai on 5th February and will reach Margao station on 6th at 7 am. The three-tier sleeper coach will have the capacity to accommodate around 70 passengers.
The package has been priced between Rs. 7695 – Rs. 17395 per person depending upon the standard, comfort and deluxe class. The package will also include the sightseeing in North and South Goa which will cover the touristic places like beaches, temples, churches and historical sites.
The report also claims that the special charter coach will be designed in the theme of Carnival which will make the journey of the passenger a memorable one. According to the Tourism Minister of Goa Dilip Parulekar, the special carnival charter coaches which suppose to arrive in Goa on 6th February will set the momentum to an unveiling of new Destination Carnival project.
