Two girls from Delhi who were gang raped by 5 persons on Monday in a resort at Calangute told the Anjuna Police that they were forced to consume the narcotic substances by the accused before they were gang raped. The statements of two victims have been recorded by the Anjuna police sources said but police is in process of verifying the claims made by the victims.

Police have already recovered and attached all the vehicles involved in the crime and they have also recorded the statement of the survivors in front of the judicial magistrate first class at Mapusa under the section 164 of CrPC. The police is in search of two more accused and one of them is a lady who posed as a narcotics control bureau officer. A team of cops may leave for the other states to trace the partner in crimes.

The 5 arrested accused have been taken on remand by the Goa Police for the 7 days to investigate further into this case. Police arrested Ajay Kusbas, 39, resident of Arpora; Jeevan Pawar, 26, a native of Karwar; Nadeem Khan, 28, a native of Rajashtan; Trebor Joseph, 27, a native of Mumbai and Kamesh Chowdhury, 21, from Hyderabad.

The police officers have reveled the motive behind the crime was the ransom have investigated into the matter and reveled that the two female tourists from Delhi had been staying in Goa for past two weeks in a rented room at Siolim Goa. The gang members while detaining the two girls in the calangute hotel room went to the siolim room where the girls were staying and broke the door open to search for the money and valuables but found nothing there.

The Goa Police have also recovered the further evidences in this case by recovering the MMS clip from them. The clip allegedly shows the victims posing as drug peddlers and involved into the flesh trade but the statement of the taxi driver has nullified it by saying that women were assaulted and forced to say that they were involved in prostitution. “The accused first took us to an apartment in Arpora village where we were assaulted with wooden sticks. They punched and kicked us and demanded money,” the driver said.  “Around midnight, they took us back in my cab. They instructed the women to say they were prostitutes and asked us to hold some packets saying that we were involved in drug business. They then filmed everything,” he said.
