The news of Goa’s chief minister Manohar Parrikar Being suffering from Stage IV of Pancreatic Cancer and he needs to undergo the Immediate surgery is being spread across the social media platform, but the local leaders and supporters of Mr. Parrikar have been denying this news by calling it fake and misleading. There is no way to find out the truth and to support the statement of  BJP CMO office in Goa and senior officials of Lilavati Hospitals have issued a letter (a copy is attached) stating that the CM is under observation and is getting recovered.

The Online News Portal Mumbai Live has published the reports saying “Manohar Parrikar who is admitted in Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital owing to food poisoning have been confirmed that is undergoing the treatment for the stage IV Pancreatic Cancer and his condition is critical. No official statement from the hospital has been released yet. The reports in News18 also confirmed the shifting of CM into ICU and his under observation of famous Cancer Specialist Dr. P Jagannath.

It may be recalled that Mr. Parrikar had visited GMC a few days ago for the routine checkup after he developed severe pain in the stomach, and from there was he was referred to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. Although the actual reason of his trip to Lilavati was no known, sources revealed that Parrikar had gone to Mumbai for the routine checkup as he was diagnosed for the food poisoning at GMC (Goa Medical College). It is very much strange that the case of food poisoning was referred to one of the biggest hospitals in Mumbai and it turned out to be a Pancreatic Inflation.

Meanwhile, according to the Mumbai Live news report, which is based in Mumbai itself, the credible sources in the hospital (on the condition of unanimity) have revealed that Mr. Parrikar has been suffering from the stage of Pancreatic Cancer and he is under observation.

According to the sources, Dr. P. Jagganath who is currently providing medical assistance to the Goa CM. The pancreatic ailment is being offered at Lilavati hospital in Mumbai. However, no official statement has been received from the hospital yet.

Meanwhile the south Goa MLA and BJP Legislator Mr. Narendra Sawaikar has released a statement in the media saying “On the advice of his doctors, Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar will be continuing with the treatment for Pancreas in Mumbai. CM’s treatment is in the right direction and that he is responding to the same. However, he needs sufficient time to recover and be focused on the treatment. Expert doctors are taking good care of him. We all pray for his speedy recovery.”

The Goa CMO (Chief Minister’s Office) had earlier on Saturday issued a press note stating that Mr. Parrikar is fit and fine, and he is gone to Lilavati for routine checkup and that he will be back to Goa on Monday to attend the budget session of Goa, but now with the new developments taking place, there is no report of discharge of Mr. Parrikar from the hospital so early.

We the team of Goa Prism from the bottom of our heart prays for the speedy recovery of our honourable Chief Minister, and leader of BJP Mr. Manohar Parrikar, as he is the only leader who has a capacity to hold the government together, and at the moment Goa needs a strong leadership like his for the purpose of stability and progress in the state. Let all of us pray for his speedy recovery.
