According to the sources, the former beauty queen from Bangalore who won the title of Miss Queen Karnataka in the year 2014 was arrested by the Karnataka police for her alleged involvement in the drug racket that is operational in Goa and Bangalore. The sources also revealed that the model has won the Miss Queen Karnataka Contest in 2014 and that she is the fifth person who was arrested by police in the drug racket.
The sources in the NCB have revealed that the top female model was involved into the alleged drug peddling in Bangalore and she was the part of a multi-state drug peddling racket that used to provide the drugs to several high profile customers and college students in Bengaluru, Mangalore, and Goa. The name of the model beauty queen is revealed as Darshitmita Gowda by the national media.
The reports further claimed that Darshita, who won the Beauty Pageant in 2014, was the regular participant at all major fashion events in Bangalore. According to the sources, the 26-year-old model is the fifth person to be arrested in connection with the case, in which a probe has been on since November 2015.
NCB had raided an apartment in the upmarket residential area R T Nagar locality in the month of November 2015 and seized a huge stock of banned drugs from the flat where Darshita was living with her boyfriend Nishant said the sources. In this raid, the cops managed to arrest Nishant but the model escaped from the clutches of the police.
During the police interrogation, Nishant narrated the entire story to police. He told the police that Darshita is the main culprit behind this drug peddling and she only manages the major financial transactions.
On the basis of Nishant’s statement, Darshitmita was summoned by the police. She appeared before the cops on Tuesday (June 21) and was later arrested under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
