Despite the regular news of the road accidents the youth of Goa does not seems to be taking any lessons from it and more case of the rash and neglect driving resulting into untimely death of Goan youth continues. In yet another tragic incident of the road accident which took place at Arlem in south Goa, two youth in their twenties lost their life. According to the sources, both the youth died on the spot when the two-wheeler they were traveling hit the electric pole at Arlem in south Goa.
According to the sources, Milton Baretto from Navelim and Brian Fernandes from Borda were traveling the two-wheelers when their bike hit the electric pole at Arlrem killing both of them instantly. The eye witness said that the bike was at high speed when it hit the pole. The sources have revealed that the rider Milton Barretto died on the spot after hitting the pole while the pillion rider Brian succumbed to the injuries soon after the accident.
The cause of the accident is said to be the rash and negligent driving of the two-wheelers by Milton which resulted in the tragic accident. Both the youth were in their twenties. Milton was 24 while the Biran was just one year older to Milton. There is saying that “Speed Thrills but it also Kills” and this fact needs to be taken seriously by the youth of Goa. Riding without the helmets and riding in a rash and negligent manner is becoming the fashion in today’s youth.
Everyone blames the traffic police and road condition after the accident takes place but nobody tells the youth to drive safely. This accident is a live example of rash driving. The bodies of both the youth have been shifted to GMC for the post mortem and police have registered the case of self-accident due to rash and negligent driving. More updates could not be made available till late evening.
