In a deadly accident on Monday, a 26-year-old youth died at Bordem Bicholim. The accident took place when the deceased with his two more friends was returning from a political meeting. In fatal accident one lost his life and other two had serious injuries. Here is the report.

[su_expand more_text=”READ MORE” less_text=” ” height=”0″ hide_less=”yes” link_style=”button” link_align=”center”] A 26-year-old youth Gaurish Dangi died while his two other friends named Nikhil Diksheet and Samaresh Kanekar were grievously injured in a mishap. The accident involved two scooters and a goods rickshaw. The incident took place at around 1.45 pm at Bordem- Bicholim.

As stated by the police, Gaurish a resident of Atil Peth Bicholim was proceeding towards the locality on his Activa scooter bearing registration number GA04-J-0911 with his friend Nikhil (36). They were followed by another friend of theirs Samaresh (35) on another scooter with registration No.GA04- D-6069.

Police informed that their two-wheelers were knocked down by a speeding goods rickshaw (GA03-N-3212) on Bicholim- Mapusa highway at Bordem- Bicholim, near the Shantadurga High School.

Three of them sustained serious injuries but Gaurish gave up to his injuries on the way to the hospital. As said by the police Nikhil and Samaresh is admitted to GMC hospital.

Babaji Ajgaonkar, Bicholim police havaldar conducted the panchanama. The driver of the rickshaw Imran Sheikh from Zariwada Padocem-Sattari was arrested and the offence has been registered against him for rash and negligent driving. PSI Anand Narvekar is further investigating the case.
