Deadly Accident in Chinchinim South Goa, truck hits biker 3 died

Another deadly accident took place in South Goa involving a fish carrying truck and biker at Dandewaddo Chinchinim in the wee hours of Friday. According to the sources, the impact was so severe that the truck driver and cleaner died on the spot while the motor cycle rider succumb to his injuries later on at GMC Bambolim. According to the reports of Cuncolim police, the accident took place on the sharp turn but the cause of accident is not yet known.

Another deadly accident took place in South Goa involving a fish carrying truck and biker at Dandewaddo Chinchinim in the wee hours of Friday. According to the sources, the impact was so severe that the truck driver and cleaner died on the spot while the motor cycle rider succumb to his injuries later on at GMC Bambolim. According to the reports of Cuncolim police, the accident took place on the sharp turn but the cause of accident is not yet known.

According to the sources, three people died in one of the deadly accident that took place on the wee hours of Friday at Dandewaddo Chinchinim in South Goa. The accident took place when the truck collided with the motor bike after hitting on the nearby tree on a spare turn and overturned. Since, apparently the truck was traveling in a very high speed the collusion resulted into the overturning of the truck and caused grievous injuries to the driver and cleaner of the truck due to which both of them died on the spot while the motor cycles rider breath his last at GMC in Bambolim.

The Cuncolim police narrated that the accident took place at a sharp turn although the police could not able to give the exact reason behind an accident. Cuncolim police said that, the motorcyclist Polly Moura from St Jose de Areal suffered grievous injuries and succumbed at GMC (Goa Medical College & Hospitals) at Bambolim late in the evening.

According to reports of Cuncolim police the names of the deceased truck driver as R Ismail (35) from Kundapur and cleaner Ganesh Kharya (24). According to them, the truck was transporting fish at the time of the mishap and both its occupants died as the vehicle crashed into a mango tree and overturned. The truck was proceeding towards Ratnagiri from Goa, said the police official. The police said that the truck also knocked down the motorcyclist causing grievous injuries to him resulting into his death.

Police said that so far no statements have been recorded. The ill-fated truck was cleared from the spot with the help of a crane. Police said that an offence will be registered. After hearing the news of the accident, several people from Assolna, Velim and Cuncolim gathered at the spot and demanded measures to curb rash driving.

The PSI Mahesh Velip of Cuncolim police station told the news media that “The accident occurred at around 2am. The fish insulator truck driven by the deceased Riyaz Ismael, 35, of Udipi, Karnataka, which was proceeding towards Margao, struck a gulmohar tree killing both Ismael and his co-passenger Ganesh Kharvi, 24, also of Udipi, Karnataka. The truck also knocked down Pauly Joao Moura, 22, who was riding his motorcycle before it fell onto its side. A resident of Sao Jose de Areal, Moura was headed towards Canacona. An offence of rash and negligent driving resulting in death has been registered against the deceased driver Ismael under Section 279, 338 & 304 (A) IPC.”
