Riding an expensive bike has become the fashion amongst the youngsters, and most of the cases of the road accidents are reported in the state to have the involvement of youth bikers. In the above accident, a 21-year-old Ankur Desai from Sanveordem had died on the spot in a head on collision.
According to the reports, 21-year-old Ankur Desai was on its way back from the picnic on his KTM Superbike. He had gone for the picnic along with the group of friends to Bamburda waterfall, said the sources.
Ankur Desai a resident of Sanvordem along with the group of friends have gone for the trip to Bamburda waterfall situated in the south Goa, and in the evening they were returning back home. But when Ankur’s bike reached at Bhatpal in Canacona, it had collided head on with an oncoming Hyundai i20 car.
The impact was so severe that Ankur was flung off the bike, and died on the spot while his bike was badly damaged in the accident. The car was driven by one Laxman Velip, a resident of Kaverem In Gaondogarim Canacona.
The police reached the accident spot after getting the news, and they shifted the body of Ankur to the GMC for post mortem which will be conducted on Monday, said the sources.
PSI Remedios D’Souza is conducting the investigation in this accident case under the guidance of PI Rajendra Prabhudesai.
