Selfie craze among youngsters has already taken the life of many people as while they pose for selfies they don’t bother where they are and what may happen to them. In one of the incident in Tirupati couple committed suicide at Rambageecha guest house in the temple town of Tirumala. Before ending their life the couple posed for selfies. The incident came to picture after Tirumala Tirupati Devasthan (TTD) security staff alerted the police. Here is the report what exactly happened in the Guest house.
[su_expand more_text=”READ MORE” less_text=” ” height=”0″ hide_less=”yes” link_style=”button” link_align=”center”] The couple committed suicide was identified as Sampath Kumar and Satya Vani, from Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu. They checked into room no.384 of the Guest house three days before. When TTD sanitary staff knocked on the door for cleaning the room there was no response, so the staff had a doubt that something is wrong.
When police broke the door they found them hanging from the ceiling of the room. The ceiling fan was removed by the couple from the roof and same was used by them to hang themselves.
Police found their mobile phones, which had the selfies taken by the couple before taking this step. They also had left the video message but did not name the people responsible for their suicide.
The report says that Sampath had divorced his wife and had later proposed to marry Satya Vani, who was his close relative. Their family was not ready for the marriage. Before ending their life Sampath and Satya Vani got married at Tirumala.
Vijay Sekhar a local police inspector registered a case and started an investigation. The reason for the suicide is not yet known. But, police suspects that rejection to their marriage from families may force them to end their life. Police had informed to their relatives in Coimbatore.
This incident was very shocking one in the temple town as this is perhaps the first time in many years that a pilgrim couple had committed suicide in the temple area.
