Mr. Ashutosh further said that “When the Pathankot attack happened, Parrikar was in Goa. When the Pulgaon fire occurred, he was in Goa. The prime minister had to tell Parrikar to go to Pulgaon. His interference in Goa matters is putting the nation’s defense at risk.”

AAP has blamed Mr. Parrikar for interfering with the political matters in the state despite his need at the center while the serious concerns are haunting the center. Mr. Ashutosh said that AAP do not have any problems if Parrikar comes to Goa but “I have a question and that is the matter of great national security. Mr. Parriakar needs to give an explanation as why the secretaries of the different departments and other senior officials visit him with confidential files to seek his oral instructions when Parrikar is neither a cabinet minister nor an official in the government of Goa.” Ashutosh alleged that Parrikar is doing the work of GM by bypassing the CM.

AAP had invited the press conference to declare the appointment of the 15 member election committee under the leadership of national secretary Pankaj Gupta who was also in Goa. Mr. Ashutosh told the reporters that Mr. Pankaj Gupta will be the chairmen of the election committee. He also announces the names of the selected members.

While talking about the dual CM issue in the state Ashutosh gave an example of the relationship between the duo to former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Sonia Gandhi combine when the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government was in power. “The BJP attacked the UPA claiming all ministers were meeting Congress President Sonia Gandhi to clear files and not the then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. But the same party is OK with two power centers in Goa? This is hypocritical,” Ashutosh said.

Is Mr. Ashutosh is right? What do you feel? Is Mr. Parrikar really interfering into the political matters pertaining to Goa? If it is unconstitutional task then why the defense minister of India is following that? Kindly leave your comments on this issue.
