There is no denying the fact that women in Goa have made a considerable progress in almost all the fields. Cecille Lee Rodrigues, a 34-year-old dance teacher who shot to national fame when she became the first runner-up on the reality TV show Dance India Dance SuperMoms edition 2013, is the Aam Aadmi Party’s candidate in Taleigao constituency in Goa and she will be apparently going to give tough competition to the existing MLA Jeniffer Monseratte, the wife of Taleigao heavyweight politician Babush Monseratte. The Taliegao is the invincible fortress of Babush Monseratte which is presently held by his wife Mrs. Jennifer Mosneratte and getting Cecile Elected from this place will be a major victory for the AAP (Aam Aadmi Party) in Goa.
Cecille was one of the four candidates declared by the party on Tuesday in its third list. AAP in Goa has released its third list of four candidates for the upcoming Goa Legislative Assembly polls. The mother of a six-year-old, who runs her own dance education program for school children and corporate training through dance fitness, was one of the four candidates declared by the party on Tuesday in its third list.
Elvis Gomes, a bureaucrat who resigned from government service, will contest from Cuncolim, Ravindra Velip, 28, a member of the movement for mining through cooperative in Caurem village, will contest from Sanguem and Rajesh Valvaikar, a Panch member from Penha de Franca village for two terms, now will contest from Porvorim.
The constitution is currently represented by Congress’s Jennifer Monserrate. The list was released by local AAP leaders. Apart from AAP, no other party has declared its candidates. The party has already started campaigning for the polls and AAP’s national convenor and Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal has visited the coastal state thrice.
