In one of the most shocking incident, a group of three youth in their twenties had killed another youth at Campal. The deceased Manoj Yadav belonged to Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh. The incident occurred on Sunday night and the case was registered in Panaji police station by the eyewitness who was also attacked by the accused but he managed to escape from the scene.
The eyewitness, one Aakash Das who knew the victim and they lived in the same building. The name of the attacker as narrated by the eyewitness is Manjunath, 21, Rajkumar, 20, and Aniiket naik 24 and all of them are the criminals by nature. According to the police sources, the accused Manjunath and Aniket are having a previous track record in the police station.
Initially when the complaint was registered by the eyewitness and friend of victim Aakash Das it was the case of an assault but later on, when the victim succumbed to the injuries it became the case of murder, said the sources. According to the reports, Panjim Police have registered an offense on Sunday night that was based on the complaint lodged by one Akash Das of Mumbai, against three unknown persons, who had assaulted the deceased.
Meanwhile, the Panjim Police Inspector Sidhant Shirodkar said the deceased has been identified as Manoj alias Aman Yadav of Ghaziabad Uttar Pradesh. Mr. Shirodkar said that the murder was the outcome of a previous enmity and the complainant Das had seen the accused assaulted the victim with fists and blows this causing his severe injuries Das said that when he tried to intervene the accused assaulted him too. He informed the Police that he can identify the accused is produced before him.
Today finally the mystery came to an end with the arrest of the accused persons by Panaji police and the police have told the media at a press conference organized at Panaji town police that they have arrested the accused person based on the complaint of Das under the section 302 and 307 of IPC
According to Aakash Das, he knew victim as they lived in the same building. According to the police sources, the three accused had an altercation with the deceased two days back and to settle the score they attacked him but not intending to kill but the fatal blows caused severe internal fatality to victim due to which he succumbed to his injuries.
Police said that based on the description of the accused given by Das sketches will be drawn to identify and proceed further to investigate the case. Police said that two days prior to the incident Yadav had also been assaulted by the three persons. “We are trying to identify the accused based on the description and the series of sequences mentioned by the complainant,” Shirodkar said.
Now the accuracy of the sketches will decide the destiny of the criminals or the people who have been arrested by the police are the final culprits will only be created after the identification parade. The crime rate is growing in the state due to the hundreds of loophole created by few people for their own benefits and in most of the cases, the justice has been denied to the victim.
