It looks like the old days are back again in Panaji with the attack taking place in the broad daylight at Tambdi Mati situated in the capital city. A group of Masked attackers, laced with choppers and sticks attacked a small-time businessman Shakeel Jamadar just outside his house at Tambdi Mati.

According to the Times of India, Jamadar was attacked outside his residence at St Inez. In his complaint lodged with the police, he said 5-6 masked men, armed with swords, hockey sticks, and other lethal weapons attacked him but he was unable to identify them as their faces were covered with the mask. After the assault, the assailants fled the scene.

According to The Goan, Jamadar told the police that while he was parking his two-wheelers outside his house, after the day’s work on Tuesday night, the assailants surrounded him an attacked him with their weapons.

Even as Jamadar ran into his house his assailants did not stop. They chased after him and continued with their attack. However, as soon neighbours gathered around the assailant fled under the cover of darkness.

Jamadar, who was bleeding profusely from a deep gash on his arm, was rushed to the hospital. He had also sustained a fracture in the attack and was operated upon. Police inform his condition is now stable

According to the Times of India, although an attempt to be murder has been registered against unidentified persons, police said some suspects have been identified and arrests are likely to be made soon.

Tambdi Mati connected with Taleigao once known for the notorious activities had slowed down lately, but the recent attack on Jamadar may open the new chapter of the revenge game, said the sources.
