Just a few days after the charred body of the unknown girl was recovered from Siolim, now another shocking incident took place in Calangute. According to the Calangute police, they have found the dead body of a 25-year-old woman at Naikawaddo at around 6.30 am today. According to the sources, she was married to a Goan guy from Calangute.

According to the Calangute police, the deceased Nepali woman was married to a Goan guy called Vinci D’Souza in the year 2011 and since the marriage did not complete the 7 years time according to the law the case has been registered as unnatural death U/s 176 CrPC.

According to the Calangute police, they had received the information of the dead body of the unknown female was lying near Domino’s Pizza at Naikawaddo in Calangute. When police reached the spot they found the mobile phone near the body and with the help of that, they managed to identify the deceased as Richa alias Aisha D’sousa, 25-year-old, and wife of Vincci D’souza from Calangute.

The Calangute police immediately summoned the husband of deceased for preliminary inquiry and found out that the deceased Richa alias Aisha D’Souza was married to Vinci Dsouza in the year 2011.

According to the Calangute police, since the death of Richa occurred in less than 7 years of marriage they have registered the case of unnatural death under section 176 of CrPC as unnatural death. The Calangute police also revealed that the deceased was not of Goan origin as she belonged to Nepal.      

Calangute Police had conducted scene of occurrence (Crime Scene) Panchnama and sent the dead body for preservation and post-mortem at GMC (Goa Medical College & Hospitals) at Bambolim.

The Calangute police also referred the matter to SDM (State District Magistrate) Mapusa Shri. Chandrakant Shetkar for the further inquiry into this matter as per the section 176 of CrPC, said the sources.

Taking the inquiry ahead the SDM has already summoned the parents and relatives of the deceased lady. The post mortem will help once the SDM gives the green signal in this matter after the preliminary inquiry completes.

This is the second case within just one weeks time. The charred body of the unknown lady was found at Siolim under the mysterious condition and till date, the identity of the deceased hasn’t come into the light and this second case of suspected to be a murder took place in Calangute.
