BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) has decided to fight on total 37 seats out of total 40 seats in the state assembly for the upcoming polls and today they have made an announcement of 21 confirmed candidates. In this first list, most of the winning candidates have been covered including the recently joined congress rebel. Surprisingly this list does not include the name of Cumbarjua candidate.
According to the sources, the BJP has made a formal announcement of the names of 21 candidates in the 40 seat Goa assembly in their first phase which basically includes the sitting MLAs of the party including the Dabolim MLA who left Congress and joined BJP recently. The sources have revealed that BJP is going to contest only 37 seats in the 40 seat go assembly and the announcement of the rest of the names will soon be done, said the sources.

According to the BJP party president Mr. Vinay Tendulkar, the party will contest only 37 seats and will support the independent candidates from the three constituencies namely Benaulim, Velim and Nuem.
