The flagship salon, launched in November 2011, is where it all began. Home to a passionate creative team, the salon is the destination of choice for world class hairdressing, hair services, makeup and bridals. It is personally headed by Art Director, Bina Punjani. After working for 3 years in the Indian industry, Bina realized that most of it did not share her passion or feel the need for international quality or creative focus in hairdressing that she felt so passionately about. With a less discerning customer base and rapidly growing demand for hair services, most brands found that providing reasonably decent quality was more than enough to ensure business success. As brands found it lucrative to provide all-under-one roof hair, beauty and even spa services, the focus on achieving excellence in hair was missing. As one of the handful of people who had worked in a cutting-edge international market over a substantial period of time in the recent past, Bina realized that the only way to get the kind of environment she wanted was to create it herself. And thus was born Bina Punjani Hair Studio.
With a strong focus on education and creativity, and with a core international cutting system as the backbone, Bina has, over the last two and a half years, built up an exciting team that is capable of producing in-salon work that meets international standards. A hair focused brand that emphasizes continuous training (currently 3 mornings every week) and encourages creativity, BPHS aims to establish the concept of branded (as opposed to stylist specific) hairdressing in India. The team has worked on two major in-house collections and is planning another one soon. It has worked on ad campaigns for major brands such as Phillips, Tata Croma, Pudu etc, has had its work featured in prominent publications such as Men’s Health, Robb Report, Hair Magazine, Salon International etc, as well as a number of fashion shows and other events.
