THE DECISION OF THE CENTRAL GOVERNMENT TO STOP THE SALE OF CATTLE FOR SLAUGHTERING WILL NOT AFFECT THE TOURISM INDUSTRY OF GOA, AND THE TOURISTS WILL BE FREE TO EAT WHAT THEY WANT, WHILE IN GOA.

Beef is not banned in Goa. The tourists will get what they want, and they are free to eat whatever they like. These are the words of our Honourable Tourism Minister Shri. Manohar Babu Azgaonkar. According to Mr. Azgaonkar, Hindu, Muslim, and Catholics are living in peace and harmony in the state of Goa, and an environment of community harmony prevails here.

The recent controversies created by some of the followers of the saffron party in the state, on a consumption of beef, had resulted into the portraying of a negative image of Goa, to the tourists coming from all over the world, and to remove that negative effect, the tourism minister seems to have taken this stand, claimed the sources.

Talking to the media on Sunday Mr. Azgaonkar made it clear that the tourists are free to consume whatever they want and nobody will stop them from doing so. “The tourists will get whatever dishes they want and the center’s notification of banning the sale of cattle for the slaughtering will not affect the tourism sector of Goa,” said Mr. Ajzgaonakr adding that,  “Beef is not banned in Goa.
