The major agenda of Kejriwal visit said to be taking a look at the grassroots politics in the state. He visited the houses of traditional fishermen in Goa. He also did the inspection of the coast to take the stock of problems faced by fishermen of Goa. He assured the Goan fishermen community that he will save their houses if elected to power in the state. He criticized the government action of razing the houses of poor fishermen at Khariwada. The reports said that Mr. Kejriwal had a lunch with the fishermen. With this he got the assurance of the support of traditional fishermen of Goa in the forthcoming polls.

What happened in Delhi will happen here,” Kejriwal told reporters after meeting members of the fishermen community in Goa. “That is because people all over the country have seen that the Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress are the same sides of the coin. They are involved with each other,” he further added. It may be recalled that, during his previous visit to Goa in the month of May, the AAP chief had announced the party’s plan to contest the election in the state currently ruled by the BJP. His latest visit is part of AAP’s efforts to spread its reach, assess preparations and meet community members.

“A similar situation prevailed in Delhi when our government was formed. Poor people were fighting for their livelihood. Before the election, we had promised that we will not allow anyone’s livelihood to be affected or homes to be demolished. We are fulfilling the promise. We are constructing houses for the people living in huts,” he said. “We will get 35 out of 40 seats. Our first priority will be curbing corruption. We intend to start (the) fight against drugs once we are able to stop corruption. The people need a new hope. The AAP is not a party but it is a revolution,” he added. According to Mr. Kejriwal, the major priority of AAP is to eradicate the corruption from the state of Goa.

In the month of May 2016, AAP had announced the names of 40 candidates in Goa called Dream Team  to work in each constituency of Goa, although they called it Co-coordinators instead of candidates while most of them been working towards the party benefit as party candidates for a long time.

The real picture will come out only in the 2017 assembly polls. AAP knows very well how to play their cards and most probably it could come out as the strongest opposition in the forthcoming polls if not the winners. What is your opinion on this? Kindly leave your valuable comments here.
