It looks like the capital of India may never become safer for the woman. Being the national capital, Delhi is also considered to be one of the most corrupt states in India. This is perhaps due to all the babus sitting in this place. But after the Nirbhaya rape case, Delhi attained another milestone of being the most unsafe place for the women in India.

Perhaps people have no fear of law left in their conscious. Despite being warned with severe punishments after the recent Nirbhaya rape case nothing, in reality, has changed in Rajdhani. Media is still filled with the number of rape cases. If the rape cases of entire India is assessed Delhi would perhaps become the leading state in India. In one of the recent developments German women has alleged that she was sexually assaulted by the auto driver when she went to ask him for the directions.

According to the sources in the police department, the area has already been recorded by the police but the actual spot is yet to be ascertained. The victim woman has approached the Delhi Commission for Women to lodge the complaint about the incident. She told the Women’s panel that after she left her hotel she got lost on the city roads. Soon she spotted the auto and asked him about the directions but instead of doing his duties by dropping her safely back to her hotel the auto driver took the advantage of the situation. He first assaulted her and later raped her in the dark.

According to her narration to the women’s panel, she finally managed to escape from the clutches of the auto driver and ran into another street but the auto driver did not seem to give up and this time, he returned back with the group of men sitting inside the auto along with him. “Those men started molesting me,” she claimed in front of the panel. She further stated that she managed to bite the tongue of one of the molesters which prompted him to start screaming and out due the fear of getting caught they eloped from the scene.

She was completely devastated by that incident but still somehow she managed to get on the main road and sat down there on the pavement. Somehow she was spotted by the person who was returning from work and asked her if she needs any help. “He only dropped me back to my hotel,” she said. According to the sources, this matter came into the light when the commission received an email from the victim on February 5, 2016, but apparently did not inform the police. The victim was not in Delhi and was only able to come to DCW on February 19.

The Women’s Commission encouraged her to file the complaint regarding this incident into the police and they helped her to get this case registered on February 20, 2016. The police have also conducted the medical examination of the victim but did not register an FIR. The DCW says it served a notice and the FIR was filed on February 24. The police have not yet commented on the matter.
