Goa is all geared up for the celebration of the new year and parties have been announced every nook and corner of the state. The grand EDM festival is already halfway through, and the North Goa DM issues a notice to the Famous Party Joint situated in Anjuna to not hold the 4 music events and the reason is, the club does not have required permissions from GCZMA. Meanwhile, very close to that location one of the biggest 3 days EDM Festival is underway…

According to the reports, the order came at the right time when the club was about to organize the 4 musical events on the North Goa coastal belt. The office of North Goa District Magistrate issued an order to the Famous “Club NYEX” situated at Anjuna from prohibiting to hold the four musical events scheduled in the new year’s eve.

While issuing the order to the club, north Goa DM Ms. Nila Manmohan has noted that the event has been advertised without taking any prior permissions from the concerned government authorities.

The music events, which have been prohibited from being organized are SANDRO AVILA, Sunburn reload and Sunrise Festival, all scheduled to be held at ‘NYEX beach club’ located at the Anjuna beach. ‘Goa Mantra,’ another event, which was scheduled to be held at the Anjuna beach on December 27, 28 and 29, has also been prohibited by the District Magistrate, said the reports but the same is already underway in Vagator.

“There were four events set to be organized by ‘Nyex beach club’ in Anjuna beach belt area without any prior permission. We found that the organizer was not having required permission from Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority (GCZMA), Deputy Collector or the police department,” said Mohanan.

“The National Green Tribunal has passed various orders prohibiting the holding of any events at the said venue without obtaining any permission from the authorities in the state. Hence, I issued an order to immediately prohibit them from organizing these events,” she said.

Mohanan, in the order, has warned that if the organizer fails to comply with the orders, then action under criminal laws would be initiated by her office against ‘Nyex beach club.’
