Initially, the report came as, two youth, Imran Gardi, 25, and Prasad Rathod, 21, had gone missing from Kavalesad Point in Amboli on Monday, and their missing report was lodged in the police station in Sawantwadi by their friends aware of the fact that both of them are no more. THE SEQUENCE OF MISHAP

When the duo did not reach back home, the group of friends went to the Sawantwadi police station and lodged the complaint of their missing. But when police went for searching them they found out about the mishap that took place from the locals and shopkeepers and roped in trekkers of Hill Riders Group to search for the duo. “Imran Garadi (26) and Pratap Rathod (21), who were part of a group of seven, fell into the valley. THE RESCUE TEAM WORKING ON RECOVERY OF BODIES

WHAT EXACTLY HAPPENED THAT DAY AT KAWALE SAAD POINT

According to one Report a group of seven from Gadinghlaj in Kolhapur came down for a picnic at Kawale Saad Point, which is supposed of be one of the most popular points in Amboli. Out of these seven, two youth working in a poultry farm namely, Imran Garadi (26) from Gadinghlaz and Pratap Rathod (21) belonged to Beed. After they reached the Kawale Saad Point, they cooked food and started enjoying the weather of Amboli.

After having the food and enjoying enough, five of them they left from there while two Imran and Pratap decided to stay behind to have more fun. The report claimed that both of them were drunk as the liquor bottle is seen in their hands, and started doing the stunts while challenging each other. At this point of time, the other members of the group were not there stop them, and the video was shot by another group member who came down to Kawale Saad Point.

The sources further revealed that an intoxication played the major role in their stunts. They looked like doing it for the purpose of getting famous, says the report. The video clip clearly shows that both of them were challenging each other to the extent they can reach beyond the barricade, and once they even managed to cross the barricade and returned back. But, the intoxication did not stop them, and they once again climbed the barricade and this time to not to return.

ONE OF THE BODY WAS SPOTTED BY THE RESCUE TEAM EARLIER BUT COULD NOT BE RECOVERED DUE TO FOGGY WEATHER

The video clip shows clearly as how one of them was unable to balance due to the influence of the liquor but that did not stop him from doing what they decided and both of them crossed the barricade once more but this time they went beyond the permissible point and one them, probably Pratap Rathod, lost his balance and in the bargain he pulled the other guy Imran Garadi into the 2000 feet deep valley.

This is the case of utter negligence on the part of a group who left both the deceased behind who despite knowing that they are under the influence of liquor and may go on to venturing the restricted zone. Going to these places is not restricted but please make sure that you do not exploit the privileges given to you.
