Road accidents usually take place due to the rash and negligent driving and despite many cases coming up in the media on a day to day basis people do not understand and the things going on. Here, in this case, the lady driver lost control over the car she was driving and banged into the bus coming from the opposite direction.   

According to the reports, a 37-year-old woman from Surla –Bhole in Sankhali died on the spot when her car rammed into an oncoming bus along the Navelim-Surla road near the Ghodeshwar Devasthan at Navelim on Wednesday morning. 

According to Bicholim Police, the incident took place at about 10.15 am, when she was proceeding from her residence towards her shop at Sakhali. 

She lost control of her car (GA-04-C-0815) and swerved in the wrong lane. Her car collided with the oncoming Belgavi-Margao bus (GA-03-N-3434).

The car was completely smashed while the front of the bus was also damaged.

Amonkar who sustained serious injuries was rushed to Sakhali Primary Health Care in a 108 ambulance but was declared brought dead by the doctors.

ASI Atmaram Gawas and head constable Sabaji Gawas conducted the panchanama with PI Filomeno Costa and sent the body to GMC for a post mortem examination.
