Country’s capital Delhi always experiences the incidents which make people feel unsecured. In one of the incidents at New Delhi, a 25-year-old man was taken into custody by the traffic personnel and they started shuffling him b beside sexually assaulting him at a traffic police station. As said by the police he was physically attacked by the traffic police at a traffic police station in north Delhi Sabzi Mandi area.
The arrested police have been identified as assistant sub-inspector Balwant and constables Raju Kumar and Bharat. As per the police officials said more three personnel were involved in this case and are absconding.
The officials said that a case is been registered under Sections 323 (causing hurt), 343 (wrongful confinement for three or more days), 365 (abduction with an intent secret or wrongful confinement) and 377/511 (attempt to commit unnatural sex) of IPC in connection with this matter.
DCP (North) Madhur Verma said that “While the constables were sent to 14 days judicial custody by a court, the ASI was granted bail.”
As per the police story, the complainant, a delivery van driver, was stopped by the group of the traffic officials for entering into a no-entry zone in north Delhi’s Pulbangash area which was followed by their heated argument.
The complainant has claimed that the traffic personnel demanded a bribe of Rs 1,000 but he preferred to call up his employer who asked him to pay the penalty amount instead of bribing the police.
The argument broke out between the police and the complainant. In the form of protest, the man started recording a mobile video of whatever was happening there against the officials who were being laid-back and partial to other motorists for the same offense.
The fight continued and in that the complainant allegedly broke their challan machine. The enraged police then started beating up the man and took him to the traffic police station next to the Sabzi Mandi Police Station.
They removed his clothes and thrashed him for hours. This incident was recorded when the complainant’s family members finally tracked him and found him lying at the traffic police station in a half-naked state.
The complainant also alleged that they tried to sexually assault him by asking him to perform sexual acts on one of their colleagues. As said by the official the allegations are being verified. He added that the case was registered on the basis of the victims’ complaint and the traffic personnel was arrested immediately.
