In one of the most shocking incident, a 25-year-old woman found dead in a resort situated in Arpora North Goa, the report says that her boyfriend of the victim is missing from the time an incident. The incident of murder took place on Saturday in one of the hotels in North Goa.

The victim is identified as Alka Saini, resident of Himachal Pradesh who had checked into the room along with her boyfriend on April 20th, said the sources.

According to the NDTV reports, a 25-year-old Alka Saini from Una Himachal Pradesh checked into the hotel in North Goa along with her boyfriend and the next day her dead body was recovered from the hotel room with stab injuries on her neck. The dead body was first identified by the hotel maintenance staff, said the police report.    

“Her body was found by hotel’s maintenance staff after they entered the room for cleaning on Saturday. We have found stab marks on her neck,” the source said, adding that the body has been sent to the Goa Medical College near Panaji for autopsy.

She had checked into the hotel in the beach village of Arpora on April 20, along with her boyfriend, who could not be traced now, a police source said.   

The police could not solve the murder mystery yet as they have seen the CCTV footage which shows the boyfriend of victim Sukhwinder Singh is exiting the hotel room with four unidentified persons as while checking in the hotel room it was only he and the victim were spotted on the CCTV footage.    

Police sources said the victim was wearing North Indian bridal ornaments when she checked into the resort. “We have also alerted police personnel posted at bus stations, railway stations, the Dabolim International Airport, and border checkpoints,” the source said.    

A case of murder has been registered at the Anjuna police station. “We are investigating the case,” police inspector in-charge of the Anjuna Police Station Navlesh Dessai said, adding a case of murder has been registered.    

The Goa Police has sent teams of officials to Andhra Pradesh and Chandigarh to track down suspects linked to the murder of a woman tourist in a resort in the coastal state, an official said on Sunday.

“We have sent teams to different places including Andhra Pradesh and Chandigarh to track down the suspects,” a police official said on condition of anonymity.
