The marathon run was held at the Bambolim stadium said the sources.
According to the news published by the PTI, news agency, the name of the girl is revealed as Christina Kamser, 23-year-old German national. “Christina Kamser, who participated in a rain marathon organized by Rotary Club of Panaji, collapsed soon after she started the 10-km run,” Agassaim Police Inspector Uday Parab told PTI.
According to the source, Christina had participated in the 10KM Rain Marathon which was held at Bambolim Stadium while running she suddenly collapsed and she was immediately rushed to the hospital at GMC (Goa Medical College) where she was declared as brought dead.
The investigation officer said that the real reason behind the death of Christina will reveal only after the postmortem report arrives. “We have also called the girl who accompanied the deceased to the run. We are inquiring the case,” the officer said, adding that Agassaim police have registered a case of unnatural death.
Although this tragic incident took place but still there is no mention of regrets on the Facebook page of Rain Marathon that is apparently celebrating the success of Marathon said the sources. The Rain Marathon participated by hundreds of enthusiasts from all over the Goa.
