In yet another accident in Goa, a car collided with a two-wheeler at MES junction at Zuarinagar, Sancoale, on Tuesday afternoon. The collision resulted with both the rider as well as the driver suffering injuries, while their vehicles were badly damaged. According to the sources, the four-wheeler was heading from BITS Pilani towards the airport and two-wheeler was crossing the junction when the collision took place. As per available information from Verna police, the accident was reported at around 2 pm when the girl whose identity was not disclosed till late in the evening was crossing the four-lane highway from MES College road with her TVS Jupiter scooter

When she reached in the middle of the highway, a speeding Nissan car banged her scooter. The impact was such that the girl was swung on the road and fell unconscious. The driver of the car Rupesh Karmalkar escaped with minor injuries while the girl is undergoing treatment.

Goan roads in the past few days have seen many spine-chilling accidents. These accidents have cost many people their lives, besides the fact that they may have left many injured. The number of road accidents in Goa has gone up for the year 2015 to 4338 with 311 deaths. In comparison to the previous years, 2014 saw 4294 with 290 deaths and 2013 saw 4229 with 266 deaths. Every second day there is one or the other accident taking place in the state. Who should be blamed for this?

With an increase in the traffic, it is the sole responsibility of the driver to take utmost care while driving. Showing negligence in driving will only lead one to the grave or on the hospital bed.
