The cases of sexual assaults are on rising in the state of Goa and now the cases of unnatural sexual activities have also started coming up in the media. In most of the cases, minors are main targets of the predators. Here, in this case, a minor boy of 13 years of the age has been sexually assaulted by the 21-year-old man.
According to the sources, Vasco police have arrested the 21-year-old man on a Friday evening for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old boy. The reports said that the accused named Chandrakant Jaiswal allegedly sexually abused the minor boy on the 30th October, which was also the day of Diwali.
The Vasco Police sub-Inspector Nehanda Tavares has told the media that the accused had threatened the minor after sexually abusing him. “After abusing the child, the accused threatened him with dire consequences. The boy kept mum out of fear but finally informed his parents on Friday.” said the PSI.
Police immediately registered the complaint and send the minor for the medical examination follows the arrest of the accused on Friday evening. The Vasco police have registered the case under Sections 377 (unnatural offenses), 342 of the IPC and other sections of the Goa Children Act and POCSO. PSI Tavares is the investigation officer.
Earlier the girls were unsafe in our society but it looks like the boys have also become prone to sexual crime in the state of Goa. It has become very difficult to ascertain the safety of the children and trusting them with someone is yet another issue of discretion.
